The West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) was founded in 1982 with the mission to empower the Black community with membership open to all regardless of ethnic origin, color, gender, religion or race.


I addition, the WIBCA scholarship program honours outstanding high school, vocational and college graduates

as the pursue higher education. WIBCA also offers a Seniors Fit and Technology workshop, a book club for Black girls,

and a youth Drop-In Center offering basic skills training and mentorship.


WIBCA plays a key leadership role in the struggle to eradicate systemic racism by engaging in proactive

initiatives to bring about change that will allow this society

to truly deliver on its promise of freedom and equality.

Over the years they have promoted the education and personal development of youth, adults and seniors by offering a variety of programs, free tutorials and workshops.


WIBCA plays a key leadership role in the struggle to eradicate systemic racism by engaging in proactive initiatives to bring about the change that will allow this society to truly deliver on its promise of freedom and equality.
