BLACK LIVES MATTER – West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA)

I support the Black Lives Matter movement.

I am proud to announce my recent association with the West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) as a member, legal counsel to the executive committee and legal resource to members at large through the WIBCA. free telephone legal hotline service.

 The West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA) was founded in 1982 with a mission to empower the Black community with membership open to all regardless of ethnic origin, colour, gender, religion, or race.

Over the years they have promoted the education and personal development of youth, adults and seniors by offering a variety of programs, free tutorials and workshops.

In addition, their scholarship program honours outstanding high school, vocational and college graduates as they pursue higher education. WIBCA also offers a Seniors Fit and Technology workshop, a book club for Black girls, and will shortly be launching a Youth Drop-In Center offering basic skills training and mentor-ship.

WIBCA plays a key leadership role in the struggle to eradicate systemic racism by engaging in proactive initiatives to bring about the change that will allow this society to truly deliver on its promise of freedom and equality.
